Heat Geek are a contract plumbing agent that provide a training course. They don't install anything, just arrange for local installer who has done their course to do the install. They didn't order the heat pump or cylinder for my installation. The installer turned up, 10 days before Xmas with nothing to install. They didn't make any effort to source the parts locally to save the situation, they just rearranged installation. The next date I could get was nearly 2 months later. Leaving me with an electric bill for heating with fan heaters over winter and hot water from an immersion. They did offer me money off for the inconvenience, however it only covered about 60% of the electricity cost, and therefore the mistake cost me a not insubstantial money and substantial inconvenience. Heat Geek had the chance to bring the delayed installation forward by a month, but were so slow too respond to the installer, despite being chased, that they confirmed the delivery of the equipment with 2 working hours notice on a Friday afternoon to arrange the work for the following Monday morning. It was too short notice. As far as I was concerned Heat Geek had messed up 2 installation opportunities. Heat Geek response was that I couldn't have had a confirmation, as it would not have been possible to arrange through their supply chain. Despite the fact I had an email saying delivery was confirmed. I was effectively accused of lying. I really ended up regretting being involved with Heat Geek. It also leaves you struggling to tell who is really responsible for the installation. All the paperwork and contract is with Heat Geek, but another company installs it. My advice would be to just find a good local installer and cut out the middle.
